Frosty More Than A Snowman

Frosty More Than A Snowman

Frosty the Snowman is a popular Christmas song written by Steve "Jack" Rollins and Steve Nelson and recorded by Gene Autry and the Cass County Boys in 1950.

Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul,

Have you noticed that people who are happy, upbeat, smiling and positive are like a people magnet?  People tend to gravitate to those making things happen, moving forward and are filled with joy.

With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal.

When children and families gather to build a snowman, they are using their imagination, dreaming and allowing themselves to be in a child-like state.
When was the last time you allowed yourself to be a kid again?
Imagination, vision, thinking of the possibilities is healthy for the brain as well as one’s over-all personal development.  All too often we gravitate toward the negative, thinking how things will NOT work.
Allow yourself to dream…..to think outside the box.

Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say,
He was made of snow but the children
Know how he came to life one day.
Go ahead, dream something that is so bizarre it has never been done before.

There must have been some magic in that
Old silk hat they found.
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around.
A snow man dancing around?  Sure, why not?
The children placed a hat on his head and began to pretend.
Do you want to be more creative?  Do you want to develop more imaginative ideas?

Then start pretending.

O, Frosty the snowman
Was alive as he could be,
And the children say he could laugh
And play just the same as you and me.
Once you start thinking of the impossible being possible – start putting it in to motion.

Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow.
Frosty the snowman knew
The sun was hot that day,
So he said, "Let's run and
We'll have some fun
Now before I melt away."
Even Frosty knew there is a season for everything.  There is a time for snow men to dance and a time for them to melt.  Make the most of that time – before the sun starts the melting process.

Down to the village,
With a broomstick in his hand,
Running here and there all
Around the square saying,
Catch me if you can.
Did you hear it in the song?  Frosty was not only doing what people thought was impossible – he did it confidently.

He led them down the streets of town
Right to the traffic cop.
And he only paused a moment when
He heard him holler "Stop!"
In your quest to be creative – be sure to stay within the laws of authority.

For Frosty the snow man
Had to hurry on his way,
But he waved goodbye saying,
"Don't you cry,
I'll be back again some day."

Frosty knew to not overstay his welcome.  In show business, they say to always leave them wanting more.

When pitching a sale, don’t overstay the sale.  Doing so could cost you the sale or even worse  – you could talk the client out of the sale.

Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow.

Have a great week – dream it possible.
Ron
