Are You A Patriot Or A Giant?

Are You A Patriot Or A Giant?

This week it’s Super Bowl week in America.  In a few days, the New England Patriots will take the field at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and due battle with the New York Giants.

Let’s set aside our allegiance to Tom Brady or Eli Manning just for a moment.  Let’s just focus on the 2 names of the teams from New England and New York.

Are you a Patriot or a giant?

A Patriot is defined as one who believes in, defends and supports one’s country or its way of life.

So, working with THAT definition and applying it to the American way of life…one may ask oneself if they are a defender of freedom?

Are you a supporter of the American dream to be all that you can become….to be able to reach your dreams and goals?

Are you in favor of and believe in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (as long as it is legal, moral and ethical)?

Or, have you given up on America being a great country?  A struggling day on welfare or being out of work beats the living daylights out of living in a shanty in the hills of Afghanistan with no windows, no doors ans no heat.

From the self help perspective, ask yourself what you can do to be more of a patriot.

Are you a Giant?  A giant is someone whose achievements are outstanding.  A giant
may also be a person, plant, animal or thing that is larger than usual.

I like the first definition best.

We ALL have gifts, talents and skills that we have been blessed with.  Whether your gift is in sports, creativity, the ability to fix things that are broken or even the gift of compassion – you have been blessed.  And none of us only has one gift or talent.

The key is to take that raw talent, that ability and develop it, use it to benefit others.

There is no reason (or excuse) on this planet why anyone who reads this blog cannot be a Giant AND a Patriot.

Unleash the giant inside of you.  Become all that you were created to be.

Stand tall and be the patriot.  So many of our soldiers have fought, and even died, because they believed and defended what our country stands for.  Don’t waste their efforts by being a weak patriot.

Enjoy the game.
